Sailor's path is part of the Suffolk Coastal Path and leads to Snape
Maltings Concert Hall (home of the Aldeburgh Festival), Britten-Pears
school of music and a large craft and home centre. From the cottage
it is all off-road and is a delightful day's outing. The Coffee
shop or the Plough and Sail Pub are both to be recommended for lunch.
At Snape the views across the river are wonderful and if you walk
around the back of the concert hall, you may be lucky enough to
experience the glorious combined sounds of violin practice and wind
whispering through the reeds. Allow plenty of time for browsing.
